It flowers from June till August. Herbal Remedies and Medicinal Uses of Arrach - Garden Arrach:—Eaten as a vegetable, it is laxative and healing to the bowels. If bruised, and applied to the throat, is good for swellings in the throat. The best way is to boil it to drink the decoction and then apply the herb outwardly. It is also excellent for the jaundice.
