ANISE SEEDSForeign.—Aniseeds are produced by a small plant growing on the island of Malta and elsewhere. They possess stimulant and carminative properties, useful in indigestion, flatulency, and colic. Dose of bruised or powdered seeds 10 to 30 grains, infused in distilled water, a wine-glassful;—compound spirit 1 to 4 drachms , essential oil 4 to 20 drops, on sugar.
